Kundayil family, well known for its Ayurvedic Tradition. “ Kundayil Ayurveda”, the founder of this firm was Sri Late Kundayil Krishnan Vaidyer, who was a member of Ayurveda Mandalam in Chavakkad Thaluk.  He started medicine manufacturing as a small unit in his house. His wife Smt. Late Kousalya Krishnan helped him in all aspects. He started an outlet in nearby place Thalikkulam in 1935 known as “Central Medical Stores”. Still this shop is running there by heirs. The layman preferred to buy our medicine because of its quality.

Among his eight children, elder son late Dr Mohanan D.A.M took graduation in Ayurvedic medicine from Shornur Ayurveda college in 1966. He started his own clinic at Triprayar Junction known as “KUNDAYIL PHARMACY” in 1969 and started practice. He treated so many jaundice cases that the modern medicine had no role and they refused to treat some chronic cases. With Ayurvedic medicine he can save so many lives. He also treated various skin diseases and infertility cases. He flourished his manufacturing unit with the full support of his wife Jaya Mohanan and his son Dr Sreejith to a certified company in 1998, known as “KUNDAYIL PHARMACEUTICALS” and got G.M.P certification in 2003.

Following the untimely demise of Dr. K.K. Mohanan , his son Dr. Sreejith became the managing director of the pharmaceuticals. He took his D.N.Y.S and is fully concentrating on the manufacturing field. The lineage now continue under the leadership of Dr. Sreejith and his wife Dr. Shelvi . K .Sreejith B.A.M.S , graduated from Kannur Govt Ayurveda College. She is now practicing in our own ayurvedic clinic “SPARSHA AYURVEDA CLINIC” situated in Triprayar.
